Target OverlaysTarget Overlays are a powerful tool that allow you to change both the shape and the size of the strike zone, simulating different targets and shooting at different distances. These may be downloaded for free from this page, printed and cut out, or purchased from your dealer in packs.

How to prepare downloaded target Overlays1. Download the correct target overlay for your application and paper type. The target overlays have been saved as pdf documents, sized either "letter" or A4 paper. These should print to correct scale provided the paper sizes match.
2. Print on 160gsm card stock. This card works great in almost all printers. It is thin enough to easily print, cut out and use, but rigid enough to use without creasing. 3. Cut out the target overlay as marked. Its best to use scissors for the outside area, and a hobby knife is useful for cutting out the centre portion. 4. Your target overlay is ready for use. Using a target Overlay1. Carefully align the overlay on the strikezone.
2. Apply gentle pressure on the bottom of the strike zone and slip the target overlay into the slot to the dotted line. 3. Repeat for the top of the strike zone. 4. The target overlay is securely held and ready for use. |
TipsDo not apply excessive pressure otherwise you may break your target system! You only need the smallest pressure to deflect the red strike zone the thickness of the card and to slip the overlay into the slot.
Print the target overlay on different colored card, to differentiate between target functions. For example, use tan or yellow card stock for normal targets, use white for "no-shoots" and use say blue for targets designated as "STOP" targets, or any other special use targets. |
